Privacy Policy
The short version: the extension collects nothing, and this website keeps nothing about you. Payments are handled by Paddle, which is responsible for the data you give at checkout.
The extension
Search Themes does not collect, store or send personal data, and it has no analytics. Your settings and the images you add are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device.
If you buy Pro, your license key is stored in your browser’s synced storage, so your browser can bring it to your other devices if you use browser sync. The key contains only the Paddle order number and the time it was issued — not your name or email. The extension checks the key without going online and never sends it anywhere.
The extension makes two kinds of network requests. The first happens only when you add an image by its web address: the image is downloaded from the address you entered. The second is a compatibility file that the extension downloads from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com) a few times a day, the same for every user, so themes keep working when a search engine changes its pages. That request carries no cookies, identifiers, page addresses or search queries; like any download, GitHub sees your IP address, browser version and the extension version.
This website
The website sets no cookies of its own and has no analytics or advertising. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and the pages you request in order to deliver and protect the site, and may keep short-lived request logs.
After a purchase, the welcome page sends your order number to our server, which asks Paddle whether the order is paid and returns your license key. We don’t store the order number or the key.
Payments
Checkout is provided by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the details needed for the payment — such as your name, email address, country and payment details — and processes them under the Paddle Privacy Policy. Paddle’s checkout on our Pro page may use cookies for payment and fraud prevention.
We can see your order in the Paddle dashboard (email address, country, amount and order number). We use this only to help you with support and refunds and to keep the records the law requires.
